What does NOWJOBS do?

NOWJOBS is a mobile application that helps you find a student job. You can see all the jobs near you, apply and sign your contracts digitally. All from the comfort of your couch, in your pyjamas.

I don't have a smartphone, but I still want to use NOWJOBS to find a temporary job.

How can I create a good profile?

In this blog post, we would like to give you some tips on how you can optimise your profile to get the job you want.

What do I do if I don't have time to work any more

In your settings, you can indicate under "Availability" whether you are currently available for work or not. If you cannot work for a few weeks (due to holidays, illness, etc.), simply enter yourself under "not available". This way you will not receive any vacancies. If you want to return to work later, just put yourself back under "available".

My profile has been deactivated, what should I do?

At NOWJOBS we attach great importance to reliability. If you do not show up or cancel several times without good reason, we will deactivate your profile.

How does NOWJOBS protect my privacy?

We know that privacy is important, and it is important to us. We protect your data and you can be sure that it is not visible to anyone. Please read our privacy policy again.

How can I verify my email address?

You will receive an email with a link to confirm your email address. Can't find the email right away? Take a look at your spam folder. Still can't find it? Call us and we will validate it for you.

I am waiting for validation, what should I do?

If your profile is not yet validated, please send an email to contact@nowjobs.de. We will take care of the matter for you as soon as possible.

How can I verify my phone number?

Simply use the code you received by text message. Simply enter the code in the app and off you go!

How can I edit my profile?

You can change your profile via the "Settings" button in the top right corner of the app. Please note that if you change your details, they must first be confirmed by the NOWJOBS team before you can apply again. Want to reapply right away? Call us and we will validate your profile again. 

Why should I upload a photo?

A photo makes it much more personal. Employers want to see who they are going to hire.

How can I delete my profile?

Do you want to delete your profile? That's a shame, we'll miss you! You can delete your profile by going to your settings, where you will find a button labelled "Forget me".

When will I receive my salary?

You receive your salary monthly.

Will I also be paid for overtime?

If you work overtime, you will be paid for it. They are also described in detail on your payslip.

How come my payment doesn't match the amount I saw in the app?

The app estimates exactly what you will earn. Depending on your personal social security contributions and income tax, your payment may be slightly different from what is shown in the app.

When will I receive my salary?

I am waiting for a contract offer, what does that mean?

If you have expressed interest in a vacancy, the employer will be notified. Once the employer has made their choice, you will receive further notification as to whether or not you have been selected for the position. Some employers are very quick to select a suitable student, others prefer to take their time.

What do I do in case of illness?

Inform both the company and NOWJOBS about your illness as soon as possible. You are also legally obliged to send your sick note within 48 hours. You can do this by sending an email to contact@nowjobs.de.

How do I know if I will work?

If you have accepted a contract proposal in the application, we will draw up your contract. Once you have signed the contract in a TimePartner office, you are expected to go to work. You will also receive a reminder via SMS and notifications in the app when your job is about to start.

Some documents must be forwarded to the insurer within two working days. So contact us immediately.

If you are cancelling a contract due to illness, you must send a medical certificate to contact@nowjobs.de. If we receive a valid medical certificate, we can adjust your absence in the app.
